Charlie Ellis

Business History:      

Charlie is one of four original members of Collett & Associates, joining the firm shortly after its inception in 1987.  During his first five years with the company he worked as a broker, focusing primarily on business park and industrial properties.  In 1992 Charlie started a property management division for Collett & Associates and was named as a partner and broker-in-charge for the firm.  Under Charlie’s leadership, the company has expanded its management and leasing services to include third party representation, construction management and investment sales brokerage. 

In addition to its expertise in the management of retail and commercial properties, Collett & Associates has extensive experience in turnaround property management and routinely serves as a court-appointed receiver for numerous institutional lenders and as manager for their REO properties.  Prior to joining Collett & Associates, Mr. Ellis worked for 6 years as a regional and divisional manager for Broyhill Furniture Rentals of Lenoir, North Carolina.  Charlie lives in Charlotte with his wife and two children.
