Business History:
Michael joined the
Charlotte office of Collett & Associates in 1993. He began his real estate career from the ground up, initially specializing in Leasing and Property Management for the firm. In 1998 he became a Partner, specializing in Regional Power Center Development. Over the previous 12 years Michael has been a Partner in the development of approximately 5,500,000 s.f. of retail space in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. Developments include national and regional tenants such as Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Belk and Harris Teeter, among many others. Michael has served as the lead developer on numerous projects and is responsible for all facets of the business including, sourcing deals, financing, land acquisition, major tenant leasing and construction. Michael has 17 years of experience in the shopping center industry.
