Business History:

Tom McMillan has over sixteen years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.  He joined Collett & Associates in 1996 and is responsible for all phases of development including tenant relationships, site selection/acquisition, entitlements, leasing, public/private financing, design, construction, management and disposition.  Since joining Collett & Associates, he has played a principal role in the development of over 8,000,000 square feet of retail property including 12 Target anchored centers.  These projects are primarily regional power centers in states such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Kansas and Oklahoma, and involve national tenants such as Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, BJ’s Wholesale, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy and REI among others.  Prior to joining Collett & Associates, McMillan worked for three years as a commercial real estate broker at Watson Realty in Mobile, Alabama where he conducted numerous office, industrial, land and retail transactions.  Tom lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and three children.
