Des Roberts Joins Collett & Associates

Charlotte, NC, August 27, 2010 –Collett & Associates, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is proud to announce Des Roberts has joined the company as Broker.

Des received a BS in commerce and business administration with a concentration in real estate finance from the University of Alabama in 1999. Following graduation, he worked with Wachovia's capital management group for three years before starting his real estate career in 2002 with Harris, Murr & Vermillion.

In May of 2007 Harris, Murr & Vermillion became The Carolina Group Partners where Des worked for eight years prior to joining Collett & Associates in August of 2010.

Today, Des focuses on general brokerage and development, including sales and leasing for property owners and assisting clients with finding properties for lease or purchase. Des also specializes in site selection and rezoning, representing tenants such as Lowe's Home Improvement, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin' Donuts, O'Reilly's Auto Parts and other national and regional retailers.

Des is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina and is currently a candidate for Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a graduate of Ty Boyd’s Excellence in Speaking Institute.
